The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is designed to give you the tools you need to be a great team leader or supervisor across a wide range of different industries. We’ll take you through everything you need to know to stand out from the crowd and prepare you to take the next step in your career. By focusing on fundamental leadership and management principles this course will make you a better leader whichever industry you work in, be it in an office, in a store or on a work site.
This course will set you up to take your first steps into management. Letting you get the most out of your teams on a day to day basis and also prepare you for conversations with senior managers to understand their requirements and prime you for further growth in your career.

This course is made up of 12 units of competency. This includes 5 core units to cover all the essentials and 7 elective units picked to give you the most desired skills in the market.
Leading from the front is key to gaining buying from teams and individuals, this unit will show how you can place yourself as an example by modelling high standards and align with your organisations values.
A leader needs to foster relationships with their team to get the best out of them. Here we will cover techniques to motivate, mentor and coach your teams.
This unit focuses on how to implement operational plans. We will look at the different planning and monitoring skills and how to adjust requirements to assist in achieving our business objectives.
Communication within businesses is one of the most common pain points. This unit will cover how to facilitate and apply clear communication strategies in the workplace.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to effectively lead and facilitate a team in a workplace within any industry.

This unit will require you to implement continuous improvement systems and processes within your organisation. This includes using systems and strategies to encourage your teams to participate in the process; monitoring and reviewing performance, and identifying opportunities for further.
Here we will cover how to identify potential areas of risk for your business and how to design risk management processes to effectively mitigate the risk.
Building and maintaining working relationships is a skill in itself. Often overlooked this unit will take you through the skills required to manage relationships right from establishing them, negotiating skills and maintaining networks.
This unit covers how to implement and monitor an organisation’s work health and safety (WHS) policies, procedures and programs to make sure you are in line with legislative requirements.
Managers and leaders are often required to have tough conversations with their direct reports. Knowing how to prepare, facilitate and lead difficult conversations sets you up to minimise any potential backlash and move conversations into a productive direction.
Knowing how to spot signs of strain on both mental and physical health allows you to address a problem before it becomes out of hand. This unit shows you how to identify signs and sources of strain on personal health and wellbeing and to manage them effectively.

If you are leading a frontline team this course will equip you with the skills to help you and your team to work more effectively.
Looking after large teams as a supervisor can stretch new or experienced leaders, we’ll give you the skills to run things smoothly and confidently.

Already looking after a team at work? This qualification can supplement and tune up the skills you already have as well as give you a recognised certification once completed
There is also the option to complete fully funded (fee-free)* partial qualifications covering some units of competency that make up the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.
A statement of attainment will be awarded for all units of competency upon course completion. Awarded units may be eligible for credit transfer for further study in management courses, such as BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership & Management.

Regular scheduled training sessions facilitated by highly qualified, professional trainers.
This delivery mode will also allow you to undertake self-directed learning activities in your workplace and receive support and feedback from your facilitator. Once you have had the opportunity to apply your learnings into the workplace, you will be required to undertake a final assessment workbook that incorporates a set of tasks for completion. These tasks may include written questions, projects, or simulated tasks.
Similar to Face to Face, but in an online platform, we will have regular scheduled training sessions facilitated by highly qualified professional trainers covering.
This delivery mode will enable you to still have the benefit of a live class environment, and the ability to undertake self-directed learning activities into your workplace and receive support and feedback from your facilitator.
Once you have had the opportunity to apply your learnings into the workplace, you will be required to undertake a final assessment workbook that incorporates a set of tasks for completion. These tasks may include written questions, projects, and simulated tasks.
This option may suit individuals who can attend some but not all of the face-to-face sessions described above and are happy to do some of the course via distance.
This delivery mode will enable you to still have the benefit of a live class environment, and the ability to undertake self-directed learning activities into your workplace and receive support and feedback from your facilitator.
